It is part of our Serendipity Collection of jewelry and it showcases the qualities people love about dichroic glass: the colors are vivid, brilliant, and reflective. Also, the dichroic glass in this piece was produced on a base layer of clear (rather than black) glass can produce spectacular color shifts depending on how the light hits it. It measures 2.25″ x 1.,5″, excluding the bail. To make it, a piece of special-production “dicro” was covered with a layer of clear glass that had streaks of black running through it and the two were fused together in an electric kiln at 1475 degrees.
